Confessions of a Christian AgnosticHome

I do find it amusing, in a twisted sort of way, that the idea of a final judgement is usually perpetrated by those very folk so convinced they have nothing to be afraid of.

Good, church-going, God-believing people who are damn certain that they’ve got the truth and it’s right here all locked up in this little box, that little book, my little heart.

I humbly suggest that such an attitude should be of gravest concern because from what I read of Jesus it is just such dispositions that our Lord tended to debunk.

Too many of us who claim to be Christians don’t really believe in grace. We feel we must put limits on it, boundaries around it.

If ever there was an argument for original sin, this is it.
