"Rules are made to be broken," someone once said and I wouldn’t be surprised if that someone was God.

Grace has no rules. That is the nature of grace. It cannot be contained by good order, right belief or carefully crafted rules, no matter how holy they might seem.

I know how angry that can make us.

Like kids on a playground, we expect that everyone should follow the rules...including God.

Unfortunately for us and, of course, fortunately for us, Jesus reveals a God not bound by rules, regulations, regimentation or even religion.

Jesus reveals a God who is bound only by love, only by grace.
