Empty yourself of what the world claims is victory and enter into defeat.

I can feel your resistance. I can feel it because I am experiencing it as well. This just goes against everything that we have been taught from the very beginning. After all, where would we be if we had followed such foolish advice? Where would we be if serving others and sacrificing for others was the hallmark of our faith? Where would we be if we were less afraid of losing and more afraid of what winning in the world might do to us? Where would we be?

Jesus says we’d be in the Kingdom of Heaven.
