Confessions of a Christian AgnosticHome

I find it a curious paradox that although Christianity leads us to Jesus, it often hides the spirit of Christ from us.

Too many examples exist of how a narrow perspective of God working in this world prevents us from experiencing the presence of Christ all around us. I honestly believe that if we limit God to our own time or tradition, we have failed to grasp the wonder of the Trinity, the wonder of a spirit that cannot be contained by one moment in history, one place in geography, one rather narrow theological perspective.

What I often see among us Christians is great knowledge and little wisdom. The demand for rigidity of belief leaves little room for revelation. When we think we know it all, we close the door on God. To proclaim the resurrection of Christ is to stake your faith in a God who can never be contained, not by history, not by a tomb, not even by a particular religious perspective.
